Class: Crochet Pennant Banner (11/8)

Sunday, Nov 8th, (12pm-3pm). Reservation required. 

Join instructor Sharon Crawford for an exploration of the techniques included in The Granny Square Crochet Bible. Using simple granny-style stitches, you will learn how to make the triangular panels used in this festive Pennant Banner. Using three colors of your choice, coordinate your scheme with a favorite holiday, everyday decor or special event. For Intermediate Beginners and up with working knowledge of Chaining and Double Crochet.

Once this 3-hour class is completed, you will have all the necessary skills and be well on your way to completing your own pennant banner.

Skills you will learn:

• Tips for planning your color sequence
• Creating a granny-style triangle
• Adding an exterior border
• Weaving in ends from color changes
• Connecting the pennants to form a banner

Materials:

The class includes three hours of instruction and a printed pattern. Attendees need to be prepared and bring the following:

• US H / 5.0mm crochet hook
• 3 balls of Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton (1 each of 3 colors)
• While not required, this class will be using the techniques found in The Granny Square Crochet Bible and we will have copies available if you choose to take one home for further skill exploration.
