Class: Autumn Raffia Basket (10/4)

Join instructor Nichole Heady in making gorgeous, rustic nesting basket bowls with simple stitching and wrapping—just gorgeous Madagascar Raffia and your own two hands. You’ll love how quickly and beautifully these come together, no previous experience required. Learn a traditional basketweaving stitch that makes this coil construction a breeze.

Nichole will guide you through step-by-step, providing a variety of tips and tricks along the way. This three-hour class will provide complete instruction and you can expect to get a good start on one small basket and all the knowledge necessary to complete the project at home. The kit includes enough supplies that you can make a TWO MORE larger baskets at home after perfecting your skills on the first one!

• Creating the center starting coil
• Wrapping & stitching coils together
• Weaving in ends as you go
• How to add a new length of raffia
• Maintaining the shape of the basket
• Tips on the finishing row

Please note, this class is designed for Adult Beginners and up. 

Materials:

The class includes three hours of instruction in a small group setting, supplies not included. The required Autumn Basket Kit can be purchased in-store before or the day of class using a 15% off Class Discount. The kit includes enough supplies that you can make a two larger baskets at home after perfecting your skills on the first one in class!
