Class: Helical Stripe Knit Socks (6/6)

Saturday June 6th, 12pm-3pm. Reservation required.

Indulge in learning the magic of knitting single row stripes with NO floats! This clever (and easy!) pattern is a beautiful way to use the popular mulit-colored hand-dyed sock yarns that are so popular. Join instructor Nichole Heady to learn the basics of the helical stripe technique and how to incorporate it seamlessly around all of the heel work. 

You will need abut 50g each of two high contrast fingering weight sock yarns, one of which could be variegated.

Feel free to use your stash or pop into the shop if you would like assistance selecting some new yarn. Our new Helical Stripe Sock Kit already has a gorgeous summer color combo picked out for you!

These particular socks will be worked cuff-down on your preferred needles of choice. You will need to come to class with a completed 1x1 ribbed cuff in your "main color" so we can jump right into the striping.

This class is designed for Adult Intermediate knitters and up that have basic familiarity with sock construction. This class will be focused on the striped colorwork rather than the step-by step process of sock knitting.

Please bring to class:

• 50g each of two high contrast  fingering weight sock yarns
• Size US1 knitting needles of choice (we use metal dpns)
  
• One 1x1 ribbed cuff completed in main color (pattern will be emailed after booking)
