Reservation required, this is a commitment to a two part class. Please note that homework will be assigned between the sessions.
Let instructor Sharon Crawford take you step-by-step through the process of crocheting your first cardigan sweater. Using simple granny-style repeats and a fun ribbing technique, you will make a beautiful sweater that is sure to become a favorite for cozy season. For Advanced Beginners and up with working knowledge of Chaining and Double Crochet.
Skills you will learn:
- Reading a crochet sweater pattern
- Creating granny hexagon panels
- Seaming panels to create sleeves + back
- Picking up stitches for collar + cuffs
- Front/back post double crochet stitch technique for ribbing
Materials:
The class includes six hours of instruction and a printed pattern. Attendees need to be prepared and bring the following:
- US J / 6mm crochet hook
- Elle by Me Charlotte bulky-weight yarn (Main Color + 2 Contrasting Colors) --sample size Small used 3.5 balls MC (Caramel), 2 balls CC1 (Persimmon), 2 balls CC1 (Vanilla)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
