Join local quilt expert Kim Barbour of Lavender Moon Quilts as she leads you step-by-step to make her original quilt pattern, Hazel's Scraps.
The design is inspired by her grandmother's love of creating scrap quilts, offering versatility in using scraps of your own in any color or style. In the example here she has used reproduction 1930's fabrics, but you can choose to use anything you dream up. Use favorite fabrics from your stash or pop into the shop for help selecting colors and patterns that meet your vision.
Students get to select the finished size of their project to fit their skill level and needs, anywhere from a wall hanging to a lap quilt, or an adventurous bed size (anywhere from twin to king). You'll leave class with a good start on your quilt top and skills to complete it at home if needed. Kim can be available during future Stitching Circles for tips and guidance on binding and finishing.
Please note: This class is appropriate for beginner quilters wanting to learn the basics, up through those more advanced looking for a creative environment to spend the afternoon with crafty peers. Attendees will be required to bring their own sewing machine and be prepared with basic knowledge on how to use it.
