Happy Birthday USA cross stitch pattern by Plum Street Samplers provides instructions to make these sweet little patriotic pin pillows. The “Happy 250th” pillow features a three-tiered birthday cake flanked by two birds that were inspired by a motif on the main sampler. The birds are happily waving sparklers, which are worked in a long-stitch. The Odd Bird's Garden pillow features a miniature version of the odd bird - blue feet and all! The tulips were also borrowed from this sampler, planted around Old Glory.
