Needle Minder - Daphni

This Daphni motif is inspired by Byzantine decorative motifs. A circle of laurel leaves ("daphni" in Greek) is one of the most enduring motifs in the Classical world, traveling from ancient Greek friezes through Byzantine illuminated manuscripts. Rendered in graceful gold against an elegant celadon background, this is a needle minder with centuries of decorative history in every line.
