Did you know hand-knit prosthetic breasts are not only a thing, but they're highly sought after for their comfort over store-bought versions. AND there is an ongoing *waiting list* of mastectomy patients in need of them! This is where you can help.
Olde School has proudly partnered with the new non-profit local chapter of Knitted Knockers of Southern MaineT(part of the long-standing Knitted Knockers national chapter). This is an organization that orchestrates the distribution of hand-knit soft prosthetic breasts for those dealing with mastectomy. We will be working long-term in collecting and supplying them to Maine Health Breast Cancer Center Clinic in Biddeford and special orders for local pink fighter neighbors.
One ball of Kelbourne Woolens Skipper is enough to make one pair of Knitted Knockers in the cup size of your choice. You are welcome to purchase the yarn directly from the yarn page and reference the free digital pattern here.
