A fulsome khaki green much like the color favored for army uniforms. The name Khaki is derived from an Indian word for dust. In 1846 khaki was born when Sir Harry Lumsden ordered that the cloth for soldiers’ uniforms be soaked and rubbed with mud from a nearby river to help disguise them.
